Democratic Fall Banquet 2011
The Indiana County Democratic Committee held its Fall Banquet at Indiana County’s new Kovalchick Convention and Athletic Center (KCAC) for the first time on on Thursday, October 20th. The featured speakers were PA Treasurer Rob McCord and famed forensic pathologist Cyril Wecht, who was representing his son David who is running for Judge.
A delicious buffet dinner, entertainment, and fellowship of fellow Democrats was shared by all.

2010 Fall Democratic Banquet
The annual fall Indiana County Democratic Committee banquet was held at the Novosel Civic Center on Thursday evening, October 21st.
Jim Burn, the newly elected statewide chair of the Pennsylvania Democratic Party and chair of the Allegheny Democratic Committee, was the featured speaker. Dynamic AFSCME, District Council 83 Director, Mickey Sgro served as Master of Ceremonies. Meet our candidates and hear about the important decisions facing our state and country. And enjoy great food and companionship.
A great time was had by all.
Also in 2010, we had an amazing group of campaign volunteers which made more than 10,000 calls to voters in the week leading up to the General Election. Headquarters was on S 7th Street at the former location of Gray's Used Books, pictured to the right.

The 148th Indiana County Fair was held August 29th through September 4th. Thanks to volunteer coordinator Carl Pearce, Ron Fairman, and Lori Rittle with their help in organizing the booth!

Mark Critz, Democratic nominee for the May 18th Special Election to fill the vacant seat in the 12th Congressional District will be a featured speaker. Jo Ellen Bowman and Dennis Peck, candidates for the 60th and 66th Districts, will address the crowd. All Democratic candidates for Governor, Lt Governor, Senate, and 12th Congressional District have been invited to attend. The banquet provides a unique opportunity to meet and hear Democratic candidates prior to the exciting upcoming May 18th Primary Election.
Dr. Edwina Vold will serve as Master of Ceremonies, and Dr. Mary Hastings will provide special music. Also, the Federation of Democratic Women will announce and honor the 2010 Democratic Woman of the Year.
Tickets for the event are $25. Please make checks payable to Federation of Democratic Women—Indiana County (FDWIC) and mail to FDW President Celinda Scott by April 14th. Democratic Fall Banquet 2009
The 2009 Indiana County Democratic Committee Fall Banquet was held October 22nd at the Novosel Civic Center. Auditor General, IUP alumnus, and gubernatorial candidate Jack Wagner inspired us as the featured speaker. We welcomed home UMWA leader Ron Airhart from our nation's capitol to serve as our Master of Ceremonies.
The trio Grist for the Mill performed and the banquet buffet included pot roast baked with onions and carrots, baked cheese manicotti, and rice with broccoli and cheese.
In addition to our county candidates, also in attendance was Superior Court Candidate Judge Robert Colville and Commonwealth Court candidate Linda Judson.
Democratic Fall Banquet 2008
The 2008 Fall Banquet was held Thursday, October 23, 2008 at the
Novosel Civic Center. The banquet included exciting evening of inspiring speeches, musical entertainment, great food, and warm companionship.
The pleasures of the evening included a generous buffet dinner and the delights of the local quartet Grist of the Mill. Rep. Jack Murtha and candidate Tony Barr roused the crowd with inspirational speeches and encouraged everyone to volunteer and get out to vote this November.
Indiana County Democratic Summer Picnic 2008
Over 100 people joined in for the 2008 Democratic Summer Picnic at August 8th in Homer City. Mike Charnego was our professional auctioneer this year - auctioning donated services, goods, crafts, and homemade treats and raising over $1,500 for the Democratic Committee.
A Family Affair catering provided an excellent meal of fried chicken, pulled pork, pigs-in-the-blanket, corn-on-the-cob, baked beans, salads, and homemade desserts. We also enjoyed games for the children and special entertainment by juggler Eric Bonazza. Thanks for everyone who attended and helped out!

2007 Democratic Headquarters
Thanks for everyone with helping staff the 2007 Indiana County Democratic Headquarters at 100 S 7th Street (the former KFC building). This helped provide visibility and a great service to our local progressive candidates.

Democratic Committee Fall Banquet 2007
Over 180 people turned out for the the Indiana County Democratic Committee's Fall Banquet on Thursday, October 18 at the Novosel Civic Center. Our special guests were Dan Kane, the secretary-treasurer of the United Mine Workers of America - who gave a rousing and inspirational speech - and Pensylvania Auditor General Jack Wagner. Tony Barr (running against Bill Shuster for U.S. Representative in 2008) was a lively master of ceremonies.

Federation of Democratic Women Spring Banquet: April 28, 2007
Attendees at the spring banquet dined on Parisienne Chicken or Baked Cod and heard the vision of our Democratic candidates for county office—Patricia A. Evanko and Tony J. Moretti for County Commissioner, Thomas M. Bianco for District Attorney, Helen Oleschovski-Hill and Rebecca M. Medvetz for County Auditor.

We had an exciting evening of inspiring speeches, musical entertainment, great food, and warm companionship. Our keynote speaker was the enthusiastic Jack Wagner, Pennsylvania's Auditor General. The Master of Ceremonies was Mickey Sgro, ASFCME's fiery spokesperson.
The pleasures of the evening included a generous buffet dinner, beautiful vocal music, and the delights of jazz artists known as The Dad Band.
Headquarters Grand Opening & Open House: Oct 5, 2006
The Democratic Headquarters Grand Opening and Open House was held on Thursday, October 5, 2006. Our new county commissioner Patty Evanko and candidates Tony Barr, Cindy Spielman, and Samy El Masry were joined together in a ribbon cutting ceremony at 6 p.m. Women from the Federation of Democratic Women provided light refreshments and the festivities were enlivened with some jazz from The Dad Band.
A meeting of the Indiana County Democratic Committee was held immediately after the open house. Fred Terling, Western Pennsylvania Field Representative for the Democratic National Committee, guided us in ways to effectively get out the Democratic vote.

Democratic Picnic: August 11, 2006
The Indiana County Democratic Committee hosted our annual picnic on Friday, August 11th. It was a huge success! This event, DJed by Commissioner Bernie Smith, included a delicious picnic, games for the children, and the inspiring voices of Democratic Congressional and legislative candidates.
