Tammie Shetler for Prothonotary/Clerk of Courts

With Tammie J. Shetler’s campaign, we hope to increase the number of Democratic office holders in the Courthouse and bring an experienced candidate with the right qualifications to the Prothonotary’s office. 

Tammie has a great deal of leadership experience gained as a member of the United School Board, as a regional commissioner of the American Youth Soccer Organization, and as state president of her union.  Tammie’s work as the Senior Records Clerk at the Indiana County Jail means she would not be walking in cold her first day in the Prothonotary’s Office. 

Tammie is already well acquainted with some of the paperwork handled by the office and generally aware of all of it.  She has a good working relationship with many of the people with whom she would work: prothonotaries, sheriffs, probation officers, district attorneys, court administrators, and magistrates in Indiana and surrounding counties.  She is studying the Armstrong County Prothonotary’s Office, an office widely considered to be exemplary.
