Tony Moretti for County Commissioner

Tony Moretti is a write-in candidate for Indiana County Commissioner. He and Patricia Evanko would like to bring back the Democratic majority within the commissioners office.  

Moretti serves as president of Marion Center Area Little League, President of Creekside Athletic Association, is a member of the Church of the Resurrection in Ernest and is finishing a four-year term on the Marion Center Area School Board. He also is a member of the Elks Lodge 931, a member of the Crooked Creek Horse Trail Riding Club, and a committeeman with the Indiana County Democratic Party. 

Moretti was an outstanding sandlot baseball player for Marion Center Legion and won many championships with the Creekside franchise as a player/manager in the Indiana County league. He worked 13 years as a coal miner for R&P Coal Co. and is self-employed with Moretti Excavation.  

Moretti is a lifelong resident of the county and owns a farm in Washington Township. He is married to Julie (Stewart) Moretti, a registered nurse at Indiana Regional Medical Center, and has two children, Dominick and Angela.  Tony is the son of Mary and the late Bob Moretti, of Creekside. 

Moretti has been actively involved with his community and wants to work for the betterment of the citizens of our county.   His goal is to make our county a safe, prosperous and affordable place to raise a family and for our children to raise their families.

As a school board director, Moretti has had to make many difficult decisions, working within the $22 million budget to satisfy all parties.   He takes great pride in his decision-making skills and fiscal responsibly and keeps an open mind with all parties concerned to reach a decision based on the facts and common sense. 

Moretti says he has the energy, enthusiasm, and determination to diligently work to make our county better. He looks forward to the opportunity to serve all of the citizens of the county and to move Indiana County forward to a proud future.
