Becky Medvetz for Indiana County Auditor

Becky MedvetzBecky Medvetz of Homer City was appointed county auditor in October 2006 by President Judge William Martin to fill the vacancy created when former auditor Patricia Evanko was appointed to be a county commissioner.   Ms. Medvetz was recommended for the position by the Indiana County Democratic Committee.   

Medvetz worked for 20 years at First Commonwealth Bank.  Her duties there included reconciling various federal, state and individual accounts. She briefly worked for Indiana County in 1998-99, assisting the public in applying for property tax relief under the Homestead Act.  

A graduate of Homer-Center High School, Medvetz has been a long-standing member of the Federation of Democratic Women. 


“My goal is to continue to fulfill the duties of auditor that were entrusted to me and to serve the residents of Indiana County,” she said.  The auditors review county spending and are paid about $113 per day for their work over their four-year terms.
