Personal History:

• Bachelors Degree in Business Administration
• Studied to become a professional chef in Italy
• Former Product Inspector at Brockway Glass (Owens-Brockway)
• Owner of Rose Garden Café Restaurant in Brockway for over 15 years
• Married for over 27 years to wife Joellyn; she is a Brockway native and teaches at Brockway Area High School.

The El Masry Platform for the People

• Better Property Tax Reform. Initial taxes were raised to comply with Act 72 benefits. Initial tax increases will remain regardless if gambling revenues are not reached; taxes should be lowered proportionately. Senior Citizens should pay reduced amount or be exempted due to no children in school. Act 39 Reforms not far enough for taxpayers.

• Put victim’s rights before criminal’s rights
• Lobbyist disclosure reform
• Eliminate or reduce inheritance tax on death benefits to family of deceased
• Provide State and State-Related colleges meet incentives (including budget guidelines), more money to keep tuition affordable for Pennsylvania students

• Strict community notification of child sexual offenders
• Support investment in farming in Pennsylvania to remain competitive with other states

• Pro-gun for Sportsmen’s rights
