Mary Jane Dellafiora for Jury Commissioner

Mary Jane Dellafiora has served as Indiana County jury commissioner for 20 years. She has overseen many improvements in overseeing the jury selection process such as expanding the sources of lists from which names are drawn. 

Dellafiora has served as president and vice president of the Pennsylvania State Association of Jury Commissioners. She is a legislative representative from that association to the Pennsylvania State Association of Elected County Officials, where she an advocate for laws favorable to jurors, the courts and the office of jury commissioners.

She served on The Jury Reform Task Force of the Pennsylvania Association of Court Managers, which studied ways to enhance and broaden jury service, and was instrumental in having the state legislature adopt the newly formed State list of potential jurors.  Recently, she was awarded The Chapel of Four Chaplains’ Legion of Honor Award for her service to people regardless of race or faith.

Mary Jane also was a recipient of the Pennsylvania Federation of Democratic Women’s Outstanding Elected Woman Award in 2008 and is former member of the Homer-Center School Board.
