Bianco Announces for District Attorney

Tom Bianco, candidate for Indiana County District AttorneyIndiana County, PA — Tom Bianco, lifelong resident of Indiana County, has announced he will seek the Democratic nomination for District Attorney, Indiana County.

“If elected, I promise to bring professionalism and due diligence to the District Attorney’s office,” said Bianco. “Communication is of utmost importance to me, and I will dedicate my time to listening to all involved parties to ensure that justice is administered effectively and in a thorough manner.”

A graduate of Penns Manor High School, Indiana University of Pennsylvania and the Dickinson School of Law, Bianco has practiced law in Indiana County for 13 years, most recently maintaining his own law practice.

He currently serves as Solicitor for Indiana County Domestic Relations Office, the Indiana County Planning Commission, Indiana County Child Day Care, The Alice Paul House, Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Indiana County Fair Board, the Blairsville/Indiana Council of Governments and for the Townships of Pine, Green and Armstrong. He also serves as an attorney member of the Board of View, which is appointed by the Court of Common Pleas, Indiana County.  

Bianco formerly served as the judicial law clerk to the Honorable W. Parker Ruddock and the Honorable William J. Martin. He also served as an Assistant Public Defender and Assistant District Attorney for Indiana County.  

Recognizing the need to balance his professional life as an attorney with community activities, Bianco is a member of the following organizations: Indiana Kiwanis Club, Indiana Elks Lodge, Indiana VFW, Indiana Country Club and the Indiana YMCA. He serves on the board of the Indiana County Workshop and ICW Vocational Services, Inc, which provides vocational training and employment services to people with disabilities while maximizing the individual's potential to meet their career goals with dignity.

“The office of District Attorney is the cornerstone of our fight against crime,” stated Bianco. “Only through hard work and aggressive prosecution can a DA make the type of impact that will have a positive influence on the safety of our families in Indiana County.”

Bianco resides in Indiana County with his wife Jennifer (Edwards) and their children, Ben (7), Simon (5), Caroline (4) and Natalie (1). He and his family attend Graystone Presbyterian Church.

The primary election for the office of District Attorney will take place on May 15th. Bianco is the only Democrat to file a nomination petition. The general election will be held on November 6th.
